What is a silkscreen?
Silkscreen, which was introduced around 1907, presses ink through a fine screen onto a T shirt
/substrate. A stencil of an image is placed on a taut screen with T Shirt underneath. Ink is then spread on top and forced through the screen onto the T shirt with a squeegee. Unlike photo-offset, silkscreen allows the artist to vary the colors and patterns while printing.
